In Mista Ali, Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State, troops from Operation ENDURING PEACE have rescued a wounded kidnap victim, and they are still searching for his kidnaped son.
The incident happened on Sunday when Sector 1 OPEP troops reacted to a distress call regarding Boyi Sauka and his son Mantum Sauka’s kidnapping.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama posted about the development on X on Sunday.
The report states that as soon as the military learned of the kidnapping, they launched a search and rescue effort.
Boyi Sauka was located and saved by the troops during the operation. According to reports, he had been hurt during the event.
Makama wrote, “He was brought to AG Hospital in Mista Ali, where he was admitted for medical treatment.”
But according to the report, his son, Mantum Sauka, is still being held by the abductors.
Since then, security personnel have stepped up their efforts to find and save him by searching the surrounding areas more thoroughly.
Additionally, the troops are trying to find and apprehend the kidnapper.
